FAA Inspectors Blow The Whistle on Airline Safety

Why were FAA inspectors threatened and even fired for trying to make sure that the aircraft WE fly in are safe? Because the Bush administration is chummy with big business, including the major airlines, that's why. Surprised?

FAA Inspector Douglas Peters is a very delicate man, yes? I think he got a little TOO choked up about Bobby Hedland's threat. I mean, Hedland is just a guy who works for an airline, not a friggin mob boss. Grow a pair there, dude.

But hey, the cameras are rolling so you gotta provide a good performance. Personally, I'm disgusted. Threatening someone's job for the purpose of a cover-up is bad, of course, but can we tone down the melodrama a couple ticks? Christ.
