Let that bird set out for you as you run from the shrieks, only to look backward at the last second and have 90 ft pounds of talons in your neck and eyes....you stumble, shattering a wrist in the fall, and hyper-flexing your knee at the same time......
I remember walking a "knife edge" mountain ridge near Eagle River, Alaska when about 20 feet below me an eagle, disturbed by my presence took to wing and I was a bit worried about being so exposed as I looked down at the massive wingspan and heard those wings beating the air. Unbelievably large and powerful birds!
A vulture picked me up by the hair when I was nine (fortunately, my hair would not support my weight and I only made it about 6 inches off the ground).
