Two scientists from the University of Arizona have created technology that displays a 3D holographic image that can be updated dynamically. This is the first huge baby step towards a day when holographic moving pictures is available.

Yeah, that is very neat, but the problem is it is not scalable at all. The spinning mirror would be extremely spatially inefficient as the mirror size increases and of course would need to be contained within a glass box so it doesn't chop your nose off.

With this new business, it will be essentially just a flat pane of glass so you could use it as a TV or computer monitor for example.
