We've all seen far worse as a result of alcohol.

I've NEVER seen anyone act like this after a few puffs of bud. Or any amount, for that matter.

Regardless of what caused this guy to behave in this manner, this is nothing even remotely similar to what millions of responsible smokers lobby for. This guy has a problem (whether it be medical or self induced) that no law can prevent.

maybe he's narcoleptic (despite declining to name any medical conditions)... I'm pretty sure high anxiety and intense emotions can trigger repeat cataplexic episodes as long as the emotional state persists.

... kind of like electronic hardware cutting power and restarting under heavy stress in order to preserve the components.

At least they did the right thing and got an ambulance for him. I bet there are plenty of other cops who would just get pissed off at his disobedience and place him under arrest without any regard to the possibility that this could be a medical condition.

Rope kills, yet is legal. Knives kill, yet are legal. Alcohol kills OTHERS, yet is legal. Codeine kills OTHERS, yet is legal (controlled, but legal).

Do you seriously think that if *insert drug here* was not available that he wouldn't have messed up his mental state in another way, thereby impairing his driving anyways? If only we could outlaw stupidity.

Looks like he's on some dissociative (PCP, Ketamine, DXM, etc). Even if he's on something legal, he shouldn't be driving in that state.
