I thought this was going to be about Canada's national election this Tuesday, where the Liberal party is fighting against the Conservative party to get the chance to lead a minority government.

The means whoever wins will have to cooperate with the loser, OR with our left-wing socialist NDP party, or our "break up Canada and make an independent nation of Quebec" BQ party.

Sadly I think our entire election is funnier than this, but upvote for the kitsch value of the joke.

Okay, bad example.

In any case, it is my hope that after a few years of President Obama, many of you conservatives will discover that your fears were alarmist, irrational, unfounded, and built on a foundation of fear and lies.

I'm actually not a big fan of the Democrats' "steal from the rich and give to the poor" platform... I believe charity should be voluntary, not forced. But it sure beats the hell out of the "steal from the poor and give to the rich" platform of the Republican party.

You Yanks badly need to ditch that 2-party system.

Nazis weren't socialists. They radically redefined what "socialist" meant as their party transformed in order to attain power - despite their title, which didn't reflect reality.
