Deceptive Deceptions Conspiracy Theories

Pretty much summarizes how I feel about conspiracy theories.

I found this quite amusing actually.

Though I do think not all things that go against the grain of what is commonly believed and gets labelled conspiracy theory are necessarily complete fabrications. I think being skeptical of them is fine but make sure to shake some of that skepticism salt on commonly held beliefs as well .

^true true... there are very real conspiracies like the tabacco companies trying to get children addicted to cigs and such... The thing that drives me nuts is people who believe in conspiracies based on bad evidence. Stuff like the people who think there is a secret race of reptile-like creatures running the country and use pixelated youtube videos to show eyes "turning into reptile eyes" and such non-sense.

The other aspect that drives me nuts are people who once they are given good evidence just immediately ASSUME that it is PART of the conspiracy. Basically, if the evidence doesn't agree with what you want to believe, then you dismiss it as misinformation. It is circular logic like that which makes my blood boil.
