Funnier than hell.
You are legally allowed to play your DVD movies on your iPhone - it's the ripping part that's illegal, as you almost certainly have to circumvent some sort of copy protection to do so; and that's illegal.
AND mobile phones with cameras and video capability have COMPLETELY FUCKING RUINED live music concerts as idiotic moronic fucking slug people stand there with their phones up in the air so that they can satisfy their ego to their friends instead of actually experiencing what is happening right in front of them.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first half of MD is a dream, the second half is reality, or at least the subjective reality of Naomi Watt's character. Give the movie a second watch with that in mind and you just might enjoy it.
I can also give a pretty good interpretation of the impenetrable 'Lost Highway'. If enough people request it, I'll rewatch it and blog it on a sift post.
PS: I have no fucking clue how to interpret INLAND EMPIRE. It has shape, form and logical emotional arcs, but I don't think there is a clear-cut plot to unravel. It's just abstract. For the record, I like IE quite a bit.
"Hey Crushbug. Try watching 'Elephant Man' on your phone. Hopefully not while driving. Although maybe these young'uns on their ADD drugs can pull it off. Enjoy!"
Sorry that the two of you misunderstood my flippant and sarcastic response. =P I don't have an iPhone and I agree with Lynch; I just always find it funny when someone out there starts trying to tell people how they should or should not do something.
I only know one person that watches movies on her iPod, and its for a very specific reason, after transferring it from DVD. Of course she has seen the movie in both the theatre and on her TV. Since its most likely a tertiary viewing of the movie, why would anyone really care.
