Chavez is the kind of tyrant you want, all things considered. He's a champion of the people. The changes to the constitution he proposed got slammed because the media here focused on the no term limits thing, (even though very few European countries have term limits), and ignored all the good things in his proposal like voting age dropped to 16, working day to 6 hours instead of 8, and extending social security to the self-employed. The term limits thing wouldn't have put him in permanent power either, he'd still have to get voted in every 7 years, although the media hypes it as putting himself in power until 2050, it's a joke.

And if you think the CIA isn't behind the dissent, then you need to read up on your CIA history.

How dare you QM! How dare you make fun of lethal weapon 2. That was the last great movie in the series, it took the great things in the first one and expanded it. Diplomatic immunity, genius. I am insulted that you would even lump it in with its shitty counter parts 3 and 4

For what it's worth, Barrons recently had an article about Chavez and Ach-muck-muck (whatever the Iranian President's name is...sorry too long for me). I have not (yet) read it, so I researve judgement. However...why do term limits need to be changed? If Chavez is doing what the "people" want, he should not need to modify the term limits.
