That's the point gorgonheap - I had the fix immediately and could not apply it (note the link in my original comment, which I also left on snaremop's profile page). The reason I blogged it was to point out how silly the 2 day delay is, and hopefully get it changed so that videos which can be fixed quickly are. The reason for allowing the original poster to have some time to fix his/her own deads is no longer relevant since fixing a video no longer transfers ownership.

My apologies if this was an inappropriate way to bring attention to this. It's been mentioned more than once before though, and nothing happened. At the very least, I was hoping to get an explanation for the policy. Again, sorry for doing it this way or if I'm overstepping here.

No apologies necessary. It has been brought up in the past, I was just trying to be clear on your point. My understanding is that the two day rule is for the original submitter to fix it first. Mostly because they would know the contents of the video better than anyone else. Sorry you have to wait. You could post a new ST thread and bring it up again.
