According to the band, they are huge Michael Jackson fans and therefore decided to dedicate this song to him. The song references numerous Michael Jackson songs including "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) ", "Black or White", "Working Day and Night", and "Whatever Happens" along with the Jackson Five song "ABC". Vocals are provided by a childrens' choir from London.
A music video was shot for "D.A.N.C.E." by french directorial duo Jonas & Francois with animation by So Me. The video is nominated for a 2007 MTV Video Music Award for "Video of the Year."
