This is the original version of "Cum on feel the noize" by Slade. Slade were a commercially very successful British hard rock/glam rock band in the 70s. They were hugely successful in the UK, but only marginally successful in the US. However, they played a huge part in influencing a number of successful US bands, including KISS and Quiet Riot. Slade were one of the bands that inspired the movie "This is Spinal Tap".

Until a few weeks ago I never even realized the Quiet Riot version was a cover. And after having heard the original I've gotta say it wasn't even a competent cover. At least in the sense that it's almost an exact duplicate of the original.

Weren't the Bay City Rollers considered a lame, teeny-bopper version of Slade? Even down to the tartan outfits. Thanks for these, I'd forgotten about Slade.
