Those kids wouldn't stand a chance in a proper metropolis. inch-inch-nudge-nudge-VROOOM! and the tigers would break loose.

O! to live in a place where drivers are courteous and patient...

Yup, that's how it is in Minnesota, most of the time.

But, still, that's brilliant. Their only flaw would be the driver realizing that they'd seen that chicken suit girl before...

I find putting pepper spray in the windshield sprayers and aiming them forward takes care of uncontrolled crosswalks. I will also be buying diesel train horns from that website that goes around scaring the crap out of people.

Good times... good times...

This demonstrates something else - how easy it is to disrupt a sophisticated system (in this case Traffic), using very low-tech methods.

Living in the San Fran Bay area i've often thought how easy it would be to shut down the entire regional area for days with little more than 4-5 strategically placed burning 'hazmat' tanker trucks.

re: city drivers...

one day i was in london, the day tony blair was pretending to have a vote on going to war... with a friend we started crossing the road back and forth very slowly. a few people joined in. then one guy sat down. then we all sat down. then other people sat down. then the road was blocked. right in front of the houses of parliament.

doable

people > cars

for Montreal drivers, crosswalks don't even count unless they're at a red light. and some of those gaps between people would have been more than enough to slip a car through!
