Upvote for my home town. We got some water in our ground floor rooms, that's all. It was pretty crazy though.

Impressive. I've never seen rain like that, although I imagine that's what a hurricane would be like.

Holy Moly. That was just pure awesomeness.

And nice audio and text commentary with the video too.

We had rain that was heavy for us in Melbourne, and thought that was pretty heavy, but NOTHING at ALL like that! That was insane.

Even here in Melbourne I was wishing we'd been able to afford to put in a rainwater tank, as our rain would have filled it. Also, we had snow in the Victorian high country.

And this is days away from Summer here in Australia! Madness... but brilliant madness brought on by good ol' Mother Nature

We live about 10 minutes away from The Gap and it wasn't quite like this for us. I suspect that's why they call it "The Gap" because it channels the wind through it.

Yeah, I live in the northern suburbs but it didn't get anywhere near as strong as that.

Who could be having sex in a storm like that? All I heard was "ah ah ah" in the background. Man you Aussies really are tough.

This is fucking awesome.

On a side note, for anyone who's never ridden the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls, slap yourself in the face with a wet rag and then watch this video. That should be a fair representation.

According to chaos theory, this was all started by the water farting retriever.

I LOVE storms like this. So long as nobody gets hurt, I love them. They don't happen often in my area of Upstate NY but every once in a while we get a massive summer thunderstorm and I'm like these guys, right out in it.

I sat through Ike a couple of months ago here in Houston. I thought it would be fun too but it scared the bejesus outta me! The wind was more intense than this video but not as much water (although it did flood the streets) and no hail. But imagine that for 8 hours! Eight hours with no power (we were without power for over a week), transformer explosions lighting the sky, the windows creaking, branches hitting the roof, trees being buffeted to the point I was amazed any of them were still standing.

The next time I know something like that is coming, I'm getting out of it's way. Man is no match for nature at it's most intense.
