I won't discard outright, but instead send for *discussion.
I think that exact or near-exact duplicates should be discarded, but portions of other videos should be allowed to stay.
Let's say that someone posts a clip from a movie, then a later person comes along and posts a longer clip that contains the first clip. By the current rules, then, the original clip is a dupe and should be discarded.
No, that's wrong. If a short clip exists, and a longer one comes, the short one is NOT a dupe. But if a long one exists, and a short one comes, the short one is a dupe.
And jonny is right. Number of votes is completely irrelevant.
