A bit of jeering, and then silence in response to her attack.

Not that I am coming to her defense or anything but they are clearly jeering oboma in the context of her comments. Really she says 'obama recently made some comment'...jeers and boos('He did. He did.' is what I heard)... and then they go to listen to her.

So your title is really not an accurate portrayal of the events and is very misleading.

You're welcome to your opinion, but I stand by it. I'm far from the only one who read that as what was happening.

For example, the original youtube video is titled: Hillary jeered by PA voters with her "bitter" referral. The article I got the link from was far less generous than I about it.

I think trying to insert the tag "not jeering" and accusing me of attempting to mislead people is a bit much.

I don't think those people were happy about what she was saying, and I don't think the mere mention of Obama's comments upset them to the point where they made that noise.

Even the Clinton campaign's response backs me up; they said it was some pro-Obama union workers trying to stir up trouble.

I think many Americans cling to religion fanatically and many are gun-hoarding slack-jawed rustics. Anybody that wants to win has to spin that fact the right way. He put himself in a dangerous situation because of what he said, now he has to come out and define what he is which will lose the interest of one side or the other.

At best this is ambiguous. Can anyone amplify this loud enough to hear what they are saying?

I think the title is misleading people and is an example of spin.

This a speech in front of (Alliance for American Manufacturing)AAM, which is a union and a lot of unions have endorsed Clinton. Look I am not defending Clinton, but I think your title is misleading, that is all I am saying.

You are right I should not have put not jeering in the tag, I am sorry. You tags do need to be more explicit however.

Media present at the Alliance For American Manufacturing forum have indeed reported that the audience reaction to Senator Clinton's comments was mostly silence with some jeering directed at her.

Of course the audience contained a mix of supporters of both candidates, so cheers and jeers are not unsurprising given the nature of the topic she raised. Nonetheless, I think the title is accurate.

Yeah I saw that after I made my comment. Even watching the video again I still think it really isn't clear whether they are jeering her for bring up the comments or jeering him because he made the comments. I think the news media is heavily influenced by spin. Many unions to date still back Clinton.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that media often inserts a narrative where there is none. However, I feel that in this case, it's fairly straight forward what occurred; Senator Clinton's remarks were received poorly by some portion of the audience when she attempted to focus on personal politics rather than labor issues, whereas others in the audience cheered her once she completed her statements.

I think that many are simply weary of the internecine bickering, especially at an event where the candidates would have been best advised to remain more neutral and focused on addressing labor concerns.

It's not a huge news story either way.

Let me put on my best Colbert impression and say: I accept your apology. =)

I looked for clips with better audio, but didn't find any. Olbermann played it on his show, and it had pretty clear audio there, but they may have done some studio magic on it.

I just thought it was ironic because here she is saying "I'm mad about what he said about you!" and they groan and jeer and almost boo her for it.
