From Obama's expression, I think Clinton had it right when he said he might be angry with him.

Boy he can sure speak, that Slick Willy.

I'll be happy if I get to see him as the first gentleman 8 years from now.

Well I read this differently than you people. I like him for asking everyone's opinion on what to do in an issue as important as this. In fact I think he should have asked even more people. Such more scholars and historians. So when the final decision is made it is the right one rather than the one the looks better.

a socialist from the chicago school of economics who fails to predict, understand, or accurately model market conditions. no surprises here--add another data point to the overwhelming evidence against the keynesians.

is it too much to ask to have a president who understands these issues himself?

While any knowledge he had on his own is valuable, what really matters as a President is the final decision he makes. Seeking advice, opinions, and information relevant to a decision before making it should be praised.

Making decisions and hoping the facts will back them up later hasn't worked out so well for us.
