you used up all 7 channels possible. too bad, (*) femme would probably apply. on second thought, probably don't want her in there anyway. I like the positive image I have of woman at the moment.

the 'proximity to Alaska = National Security expert' line, did she borrow that from Fox, or did they get that from her, or did some gop strategist really think it up and everyone agreed it'd make a great talking point? wow.

I dont see how this made her look stupid, Alaska IS closer to Russia, and just because you dont plan on bombing the country, doesnt mean You can just ignore Russia completely. Living next to Russia on the other side, I can confirm that even tho there is no hostile intent on either side, Russia is a scary country, even before the whole Georgia thing, Russia did some wierd things, like conducting unannounced large-scale military exercises just off our coast etc. Putin is also slowly turning the place into more or less a dictatorship again, he and his crew is really tightening the grip.

Of course not, but living there doesn't make her anymore of an expert on national security than someone living in, I don't know, say, Plattsburgh. I think you're not getting the point here.

Living a thousand miles from Siberia in Anchorage (vs. something less than 10 thousand miles for the rest of the U.S. to Siberia) is not a rational equivalent to having experience interacting abroad as a U.S. representative.

It is a ridiculous point to make. Next time they should just say, "well, John's healthy... and Palin's a fast learner" and not try to bullshit around.

For heavens sake She has a point. There are all kinds of military installations in Alaska, including NORAD. There are miltary bases there that have to contend with constant fly bys from MIGS. Not to mention the nuclear weapons in Alaska and long range bombers there. What about the nuclear submarines docked there. Certainly much more russian interaction there then say kansas.

She has a point.

" Don't dismiss the importance of the first lady; wives often have strong influence over the decisions of their husbands."
-utter bullshit, coming from a place of limited information and ignorance-

Fuck all, rather that the point by point, most of the comments above, save a very few, are action/reaction primate gymnastics, no critical thought involved, and none very clever or truly wise.-You are being fed this shit, as if it were important in the scheme of the power structure of the united states-it's not, it's more goddamn diversion to keep your brains from travelling to far from the programmed schedule of activities....NO-THINK

Fuck Stepinlottashits, talking head dumbass, and fuck Mrs. Mc Pain and Mrs. Baroken Obummer, the both of them preferably, on the White House lawn, on National Television, with multiracial cock in every orifice, with their husbands joining in on the fun, and taping it for free-per-view.....

This offend ya?? Well this news segment of absolute NO NEWS, offendeth me.....

It really doesn't matter how close Alaska is to Russia. What matters is that last year Palin was apparently too busy with the affairs of Alaska to even know what was going on in Iraq, where her son is being deployed.

The issue isn't really that she's ignorant about foreign policy. It's that she doesn't care about foreign policy.
