Cheney finally admits there were no ties between Iraq & 9/11

After repeatedly using the LIE that Iraq was tied to 9/11 to help justify a criminal war, Dick Cheney did an about-face today by saying there was NOT a connection between Iraq and al-Qaeda. To me that should be grounds enough for war crimes charges.

Someone needs to mash up all the times he said there WAS a connection, and mesh it in with this comment.

Cheney and Bush. Selective memory. If you repeat shit enough times, then it becomes truth... even if it is not supported by evidence.

I challenge anyone to find 60 seconds of Cheney speaking fluently in a TV interview within the last eight years that a lie was not told. If a pile of bullshit were to be magically manifested into human form to express itself I bet it would sound exactly like Dick Cheney. That some people perceive him as having any kind of credibility is sad.

This is actually true. We're running experiments in our lab now that demonstrate that merely repeating (false/implausible/impossible) information to people makes them more likely to believe that information is true (nothing new or exciting there, really). What's really interesting though, is that they are more likely to believe it if it's repeated 3 times by 1 person, than 1 time by 3 people... Same total repetition of information, but a single source is apparently more believable than multiple sources!

note: preliminary findings, take with grain of salt plzkthx
