Cast in Bronze - Carol of the Bells
tags:"Cast in Bronze" is America's only traveling Carrilon. Created in 1480, the Carillon is cast from bronze bells and played from a modified keyboard with hands and feet. The largest Carillons weigh from 100-200 tons and were normally placed in bell towers of large churches.
Today, there are not many Carillons left. Frank Della Penna of Cast in Bronze performs throughout the year at Renaissance Festivals around the US to prevent this awesome musical instrument from being forgotten.
This clip is from the 2007 Scarborough Renaissance Festival, South of Dallas. Frank performs "Carol of the Bells" for a live audience.
