In the IMDB trivia for the feature length it says "In one shot, Ben clicks his fingers to start up time, it then cuts to Ben opening the door to his friend. Between those two shots is a two year gap as the short was filmed two years previously to the feature" But that has to be fact checked, but it's probably true.

Great find thedeusmachine. I saw the movie after seeing this short. The movie is just as interesting as the short. It's visually stunning and it has the most hauntingly beautiful soundtrack. I highly recommend it.
