Awesome scene. I was stunned the first time I played it.

I have played many games, and I have died many times in those games, but this is the first time ever I thought, "wow holy crap, I died..." it was a real touching evocative moment where I really connected with the Assault rifle and target reticule that we call a character.

This video does miss out on the super-creepy playground that's in the other direction. (Walking toward the mushroom cloud.) I'm pretty sure they had faint audio cues of children playing.

having never played the game, i was actually really relieved that the character died when i heard about this. when i heard there was an explosion, my first thought was that if you can see a nuclear explosion, its probably already too late.

nah, for some reason i prefer fantasy FPS's, like halo or gears of war.

... wouldn't the radio have been knocked out by the emp?
