Isn't he just ripping off what the reporter on MSNBC did a couple of weeks ago with the Paris Hilton story?? This seems kinda contrived after that. I guess now the way you get a rep as a serious reporter is to refuse on air to report on celebrity news.

Faceless corporate hacks seem to control what is deemed to be "news". It's not just MSNBC or CNN, it is all of the mass media outlets. Maybe if more reporters refuse to run crap there would be a renaissance in journalism.

Yeah, seems like a rip-off somehow, but maybe it's a start of something bigger. Integrity returns to the news? All it took was one person to stand up against it to start a snowball maybe? Even if that snowball was scripted.

Let's be honest, if more reporters refused to run crap there would be more reporters getting fired and more eager rookies looking for their big shot getting hired. As respectable as an act like this is, realistically change needs to come from the top down, and if you can figure out how to bring that about, good luck to ya.

i mean i just read, heard AND TYPED her damn name more than once. i would never hear about her if reporters would stop reporting how they don't want to report on her because they don't want to give her the "oxygen of publicity".

After looking up contrived at dictionary.com I am confused as to why anyone would believe this one was staged or planned in advance. The reporter on MSNBC seemed like more of a scheme to garner attention. They made such a big deal out of it when she said it, this guy just feels more genuine.
