lol i think the blame is on the company for this one.

1) the company were utter retards and had the mecheen set up crap so totaly deserved it
2) those cash pionts charge you £1.50 to make a withdrawall in the uk so if you take 10 pounds out thats 10.5% whitch is abusalutly insane so im more than glad the company got ripped off. shame the coast will probably fall back ont he consumers.

apparently it's the default code, which is available in the manual for the device. not only is the default code referenced in the book, but so are specific instructions as to how to get into the reprogram features.
this manual is publicly available.
