Um, state-run? CNN is a wholly owned subsidiary of Time Warner, which is a publicly traded corporation headed by Chairman and CEO Jeffrey L. Bewkes. The government holds no stake in CNN unless they have shares in Time Warner. To my knowledge, they do not.

I'm not saying that the video isn't a travesty of news. It is, but let's not conflate things that aren't related.

Okay, totally not defending CNN rebutting a comedy skit--but my FaceBook page was full of conservative friends crowing about how SNL was proof that Obama is the antichrist or a socialist or a do-nothing-er or whatever the rant of the day is. I'm not sure how the conservatives can scream about him doing nothing, though. Isn't that what they want from the most-liberal-former-member-of-Congress?

As a somewhat-left-leaner I can say that I am pretty pissed about him doing nothing, though.
