That's a bit harsh, honestly the US is way ahead of a lot of country's in reducing the amount of pollutants we put out. I don't think he's that far off base. I don't know if were leading the world but were doing better then a lot of countries.

The US is the ONLY industrialized nation not to sign on the Kyoto agreements.

The reason the US doesn't want to tackle curbing emission by introducing harsher standards is because there is immense lobby pressure from heavy industry.

Talk about government intervention all you want, I'd rather have a fucking environmentally stable planet then not.
