"Water, Water, Every Hare" is the title. Bugs and the Evil Scientist have their famous stoned chase scene AND our heroic hare gets to play beautician to the monster too. Something for everyone. Bobby pins, please.

It's one of everyone's favorites, JAPR.

Personal anecdote: Right before I went to bootcamp (Navy) in 1987 I saw Yes in concert during their 'Big Generator' tour. They had no opening act, but they ran a couple of cartoons before they started. They showed two cartoons: One was a Popeye cartoon, which I found ironic because I was joining the Navy, and the second was this cartoon. When the ether scene started the crowd EXPLODED into cheers and applause. Therefore I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this cartoon is a classic amongst the heads, which comprised at least 50% of the audience, including me, but I was clean at the time because I wanted to make sure I had no dope in my piss before I went to bootcamp.

If you didn't nod off reading that, I hope you understand the special significance this cartoon has for me.

Yeah, this is the best, hands down. I love the sound the monster makes when he's being shrunk... "GRAARRGHHgggghhhh....squeek!"

n Hair-Raising Hare, Bugs finds himself trapped in the castle of an "evil scientist", who this time is a caricature of Vincent Price....

The cartoon's title is a reference to the line "Water, water, everywhere / Nor any drop to drink" from Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

OMG, I love the musical cues in this, especially when he first floats out of the rabbit's den. Classical music at its finest.

Upvote for "Come... back... here... you... raaa... bit..."

The toon channels should play the oldies unedited during "adult swim" times. Unlike during the day, when if you seen them, they are edited in the most horridly PC manner.

In the nineteenth century people used to drink ether. It had almost the same effects as alcohol only you got stupid drunk much quicker and also sobered up extremely fast. One side-effect was that when the ether turned to gas in the stomach, people violently belched flammable gas which could easily ignite.

I learned about tripping on ether from the Cider House Rules book. The abortionist doctor was addicted, and eventually died from it.

I don't think he dies of long term exposure in Cider House Rules. Ether is relatively safe, I think it was an accidental overdose.
