Two previous steps were not observed:

1) Hit a very hard, nigh-unbreakable object with the object you intend to break over your head. Such as a large rock or hard countertop.
2) Observe how much force you just struck said object against other object with, and think about mirroring that force to your own skull.

Idiots don't ask questions like: "I wonder how much force it would take to break this bottle."

I've seen another video just like this but with different people. It's sad really.

Sad for some arrendek, for others, a sigh of relief. What could have been a spectacular day-after party of bloody bare feet, turns into a drunk party-boy, beating himself in a manner with the densest part of a bottle, so as to lessen its chances of breaking on a denser portion of his skull, which he also traded for what looks like the area between the side of the parietal and near the squamous, in a region coveted by those seeking to do harm to the only soft spot on the skull, the temple.
Again, the slow-mo groans are wonderful.....
