Wow - great post - they should introduce 'one ski' as a new event at the winter olympics!

Having been a downhill and giant slalom racer, my leg got tired just watching that.

It's pretty incredible he was able to go for that long on one leg.

Cool, but when I used to race our coach used to occasionally make us alternate runs with only a left ski, then only a right ski. You really learn about control and edging!

At -0:26 or so, he's clocked at over 80km/h - that's 50mph for us Americans. On one ski.

He must had practiced this. Hehehe!

Definitely elegant... I forgot what the other word they said was. Wow. He deserve a mdeal for making it pretty much all the way down, style points, screw speed (although that was pretty damn high too)!

The 2 dollars reference is from the movie "Better Off Dead" (John Cusak). John's character is harassed throught the movie by a paperboy who's trying to collect his money. It's a recurring gag---the paperboy chases him through a carwash, through a park, and toward the end, down a ski slope when John is racing the jock (on one ski!)
If someone could find that clip and post it, it would make a great companion to this one!
