Bela Lugosi, a Hungarian actor best known for his lead role in the classic 1931 movie Dracula teaches advanced mathematical concepts. This is rare footage of Lugosi in his last on screen contibution in what is consdered by many a low point in his career and what is considered by some inspirational. This educational series was left unfinised due to Lugosi's death in 1958. The series was an attempt to show undergraduate students that math is not scary. Lugosi's hidden love for mathematics is illuminated by his animated teaching style.

Kept waiting for Bela to show up, even checked out the YouTube'r's other videos! It was weird when he said...right-wing conservatives way of dealing with things was to throw them out?!? If this is a hoax, I don't get it...

Is the rest of this video on YouTube? I haven't looked yet, but I'm guessing that he is going to extend that series to s

ok, so what's the answer? I'm guessing that it's ∞/(∞+1) ?

Does that even make sense?

Looks like the series 1/2 , 3/4 , 7/8 should continue to asymtotically approach 1, as in 15/16 , 31/32 , 63/64

right?

Each sx gets exponentially closer to 1 as x increases. But if x = ∞ , does that mean the value is equal to 1?

I'm go look on youtube now.

ahhhh! I was so close- (∞-1)/∞ which is equal to 1 - (1/∞), which is infinitely close to one, ie 1. 1/∞ = 0

This is a fun vid. Thanks gwaan!

Indeed, a decent video, but what the hell has this got to do with Bela Lugosi. That is not Bela Lugosi. Hell, it looks more like his Plan 9 From Outer Space co-star, Tor Johnson.

Am I crazy here?
