I made a 5 hour play list repeating all of her best songs. I played it while my house was being shown. The kids left out cookies. I'm convinced her music sold my house. The woman raved about the cookies and music more than the house!
Her and Nat King Cole are the absolute best!
I never thought about the aesthetics like that before. When I was looking for a place, I had the choice between this condo and one that was almost exactly like it. The other one was lower in price, but when we came to look at this one it had some fantastic art on the walls. So I got this one because the "feel" was better. I'm sure it was because of the art. I spent more time looking at it than the condo.
(It turned out to be the perfect choice...turns out the other one is next to some Uni party kids.)
It's true! Atmosphere has a lot to do with it. My daughter left her favorite dollhouse out w/ furnishings and people, my son made a huge lincoln log town w/ action figures. Both set ups had been played with when we returned.
The day we had an open house, we left out coffee and cookies, had the football game on mute(for the husbands that didn't want to come), and had Billie playing...all of which were used.
Also, when you bake the cookies right before they come..the house smells great. Yankee candle makes some great smelling 'food' candles too if you're in a hurry.
