He is quite the wordsmith. Not every "shut up" is directed at someone. But it definitely happens more than once in six years. Along with the "Cut his mic". And if anyone feels like posting the Glick interview, he gets pretty harsh and tells him and cuts his mic as well. Also, O’Reilly, during the commercial break, told him to “get out of my studio before I tear you to fucking pieces!” I posted this for Wumpus who asks to be shown an example of "shut up" and "cut his mic" from this thread. http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=10311

What scares me more is that some people actually applaud his behaviour, there was a clip of a book signing in there where he tells someone to shut up because they had their 30 minutes, you can barely make out a woman hollering as he does this. In the full clip the corwd goes wild that he did it. Like what the hell?

He almost always only tells people to shut-up when they are ranting on and on.(if you have watched numerous shows he himself never rants and stays very calm) He is definitly one of the best debaters around. When the other party he is debating starts to become agressive, insulting...ect he will tell them to shut up, in some cases tell the sound guys to cut their mics. I saw a few of the ones where he told them to cut the mic, he was definitly right to say it.

UberLegion, debating is not about hollering and cutting peoples mics off. And that's what O'Reilly does, he doesn't come to an interview to discuss a topic, he's there to sound off on his agenda and screw whatever the other party says.

The real story is that O'Reilly is a Fox show, which is owned by News Corp which is run by Rupert Murdoch, a man who believes that there is no room in the world for journalism that simply reports the news, that all news should really be an oppinion.
