Bill Moyers: Essay on Reverend Wright

Crosswordssays...

I suppose this could be seen as excusing of Wright's actions, I think it just tries to put things in perspective. I think we're to quick to label people as good or evil while ignoring the complexity that is the state of man. I know I've been quick to judge people, way more than I'd like to admit to myself. I've also done and said things that are so contrary to my beliefs I have to wonder if someone didn't temporarily switch minds with me, and the worst part is not realizing it immediately or even within a relatively short frame of time. Looking back a year or more and thinking how could I have said, done or thought that. I guess its a matter of looking at him as a human being rather than a sound bite.
