Best to test your site backups.

Ma.gnolia.com did it first. See how the delicious competitor threw themselves out of the race this year. In light of the mishap here at the sift, maybe all you admins (I'm an admin myself) should do a back-up and test that back-up recovery process, just in case. A "it could have been worse" scenario come true. Founder recounts his disheartening tale and the aftermath. If I had my faves bookmarked there, I would definitely be irate. Good-luck to the sift.

Um.. Somebody tell me why this is in the top sifts... It's ridiculously long, boring, and not all that interesting. The least they could do is talk faster so I don't keep falling asleep. Some editing would have been nice too.

It seems like a good reminder to keep your own computer backed up. There are backup services that can backup any changes to specified folders every day.

I have a subscription with Webroot Antivirus, and 1 gig backup is included for free, which is enough for my document folders.

Upvote for using the correct name pronounced "MySequel" instead of the wrong way of "MyS-Q-L"
