This has to be the best skiing accident I've ever seen. Short and sweet.

not a dupe? I know I've seen this before, most likely here on VS.

They should've painted an entrance to a tunnel first and then he would've been ok.

It is - I did a couple of quick searches and couldn't find it. IIRC, it's part of a short compilation of clips like this.

I love the sound he makes on impact. That must have been a pretty loud grunt to make it through all that snow and still be audible.

I've seen this here before too, but only in compilations and always with some lame music on, so this should get to stay. Funny stuff.

I believe I saw that in a commercial somewhere. Can't pinpoint it, though.

Hilarious! Old video,I remember this was one of the first internet videos I ever watched.

If you look closely, his legs swung right out from under him, hence the "whoa!".

Haha!

I once saw Tony Danza lose control and hit a tree at Greek Peak in New York. That was some funny shit!

Looks like a lot of people have been crashing into the same place.

It seems kind of like the "whoa" and "oomph" might have been added later.

Funny, but yeah, that impact site looks to be pretty well softened up and well used already.

I'd like to see it in full context myself

Sometimes it's the sound that makes things funny. For example: http://www.videosift.com/video/Narcoleptic-Cat

It's the penultimate clip in this fine submission from over a year ago;

"WHOA!" *splat*

I hope he wasn't seriously injured.

Nicely found Deano! Damn, I searched for every word I could come up with related to ski jumping snow drift accidents. "Montage of hits" just never popped into my head.

Montage was definitely the key word! Also I remember that honking music - it's embedded into my brain
