redactedsays...

Heavy Metal is one of my favourite animated films, and this is my favourite sequence. I still find it genuinely scary. Take note of the very effective Elmer Bernstein music.

So this thing expired, and was allowed to expire? This after I've seen dozens of moronic clips from daytime talk shows be preserved? halloween is coming up... this is a scary, classic animated clip... I am extremely disaapointed in the VS community.

Heavy Metal was a unique piece of art and should not be put in the same pile as the utter crap that is anything done by Ralph Bakshi.

I made a new source from my own DVD. Enjoy!

The animation style looks like it's where they would've drawn over a film of someone doing the actions. I reckon it makes it look pretty alright, I wonder why they stopped...

Saw it used in a couple of toons from the time, too. (Anyone see Fire and Ice? Now that was "HOT HOT HOT", exegesis!)
