Avengers 2: Age of Ultron - Official Teaser Trailer

After the trailer leaked nearly 6 days early, and fighting the leak, Marvel gives up and releases the official trailer. As awesome as I hoped it would be.

Seems a midnight screening is in order for this bit of awesome. In James Spader and Joss Whedon we trust.
Paybacksays...

IronHulk! *cough*

Then again maybe, like The Avengers trailers, they're not showing the good stuff.

I hate it when they CGI robots. The Terminator (after the tanker esplodes and is chasing Sarah through the factory) is still God Emperor of robot filming.

Damn... I'm somewhat disappointed with this trailer meh...

And I really like the first movie.
There's just something... off, about this particular trailer. I don't know...

EMPIREsays...

Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan of the first movie, but there's something about the tone of this trailer that looks off. Yes, the puppet analogy is cool and James Spader's voice is pretty good as well. But I don't know...

Anyway, I hope the movie itself is good! I still want to see it.

Maybe the trailer is designed to attract the kind of audience who likes Transformers movies? They do make a lot of money, despite how shitty they are.

Anyways, Avengers 2 should be much better with Whedon at the helm.

RFlaggsays...

Seriously! I mean we got Hulkbuster armor! The way everyone is in the room with Banner but looking away and he looks like he just did something bad... more and more hints of a possible Planet Hulk movie! Andy Serkis, in an unknown roll... (I've heard guesses as to him being Ulysses Klaw, but I don't know who that is at all but based on the pics from the comics and his back story it sounds likely). Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch... Thor grabbing Tony Stark, and Tony's statements about the path he himself started (creating Ultron rather than Hany Pym) which might hint at Civil War... so much geek going on in this trailer.

Also, Jame's Spader's voice acting was perfect.... The use of "I Got No Strings"... I'm pumped for a midnight showing myself.

It must really take a lot to get some of you folks aroused.

For me? Two words:

*Fuck. Yes.

EMPIREsays...

Better than what? Transformers? I sure hope so! lol

It's not that difficult, and I do trust his work.

Retroboysays...

Had to agree with you. Just way too scattered around and with too many terse unrelated hero-takes-dramatic pose shots.

Even a trailer should have some sense of flow. They got some of it right by building around the central musical theme, but didn't fill in the rest.
