Whoops. Starts off by pointing out Christians who say they're "tolerant" or that their faith is "tolerant", then he decides the definition of "tolerance" should be "everyone goes to heaven regardless of what they believe". Uh... right. Can you say "strawman"? Ask those same "moderate Christians" if that's what they meant when they used the word "tolerant". I'm guessing what those people actually meant was "i don't hate or kill people who believe differently, and Jesus wouldn't want me to do that either". Not a good opening argument, friend.

His second argument against Christian tolerance shows an utterly context-ignorant biblical hermeneutic. He claims the Bible tells Christians not to associate with those who believe differently than them. Not even close. What those verses are saying is to have nothing to do with those *claiming to be Christians* but trying to teach that faith in Christ is not the sole means of salvation. Avowedly non-Christians aren't anywhere in the context. Oops again.

Argument number three is against the claim that "God loves everyone". Here he simply fails to know what hyperbole is, and thus succeeds in taking scripture more literally than any fundie i've ever heard of. Perhaps this guy also doesn't know what metaphor is and will next argue that the "Christ thought he was a plant because he said 'I am the vine and you are the branches'". Wouldn't that be educational.

Ill upvote since its good practice in critical thinking and I love good well contructed atheist arguments but i have to agree with nadabu's analysis of this video. He strawmans it then much like how christians take one quote and twist it to mean anything and there for the whole book must mean that, he does the oppisite and takes quotes and makes general statements about the entire meaning. Really it all comes down to the bible is just not accurate enough in language due to too many translations and versions (language is slightly different in every bible ive looked at) to really fight for the message or against it cause either way you got holes in your argument.
