Choggie, sorry to hear that. I once read a young autistic Australian girl's description of what autism was like... when she was in grade school at recess, seeing all the other children on the playground running and playing together was like watching a flock of birds as it swooped and dashed this way and that, with every bird knowing what was going on and what to do, while she just sat not understanding how to interact.

Social maturity is certainly a diagnostic feature, but... I think lacking somewhat the innate empathy and understanding of other peoples thoughts and actions based on sometimes very small changes in their outward appearance or voice is a huge part of what spectrum people face.

"ASS-burgers", ... I much prefer the more mother-english pronunciation, "Ah-spergers"

I have a friend with 2 children that have Autism but its kind of a mild form. This is awesome seeing an explanation from someone stuck in between both world. This kid is very courageous.

Half-autistic and half-not is a bit misleading -- recent evidence has been suggesting that Autism is on a spectrum, and we all lie somewhere on that spectrum. The vast majority of us are near 0, but people with Asperger's are somewhere in between the normal person and the average Autistic person, making his analogy fairly reasonable, just a bit semantically off. Great video though. Very brave, very candid.
