The Eurovision is normally a vast reservoir, 99% full of crap, kitsch, and high camp but this French entry by Amina was actually pretty good and stuck in my head all these years. In fact it was good enough not to win, saved from ignominy at the final count by a characteristic lack of taste, it was second. A close one.
