No, but seriously, I too was curious if alligators enjoyed cornbread. Does anyone know if there have ever been studies into the effects of throwing basketballs towards an aggressive gator? I'm pretty sure throwing cotton at them would get you killed.

Alligators, much like crocodiles, have an incredible bite force, but are very weak when it comes to opening their jaws. You can literally hold the jaws together fairly easy. Of course, being on the inside part means you're basically fucked... Part of the reason why the OM NOM was so explosive.

As for their eating watermelon, these are creatures that will store corpses to decay so they can consume them more easily (they don't chew real well ; ). I'm guessing after eating rotting corpse, anything sweet would be a welcome change.. ; )
