It's always cool to see video from Iraq, so I enjoyed watching it for that. Otherwise, I'm not sure I cared for what it tried to acheive.

One question for you though, and if you could avoid name calling, slanderizing, generalizations and all that ugly business just for once, it would be great.
Do you hate the military? And if so, if our country was ever attacked (again) and we had a 100% solid reason to fight a uniformed enemy, wouldn't you want a highly efficient military protecting you?

If the worse thing they're doing is tricking non-English speaking kids into saying derogatory English phrases, you won't win many converts.
I don't think anyone would really want to see every aspect of war. It's like the old saying, "Politics is like making sausage, you don't want to see the whole process."
I'll tell you why it's different than the "a**hole jocks at <insert highschool here>": Because to the people that run into these young men in other countries, theses soldiers represent America. ...and they're not in High School. Boredom isn't an excuse for poor behavior.

I hate your glorification of the military. Why don't you rejoin and go to Afghanistan to join your "brothers." Can't you see how great it is?

MG - your argument just doesn't hold water. The difference between Marines protecting our country and Marines trolling around the poorest areas of Afghanistan, mocking the children there and bitching about how rough they have it, is significant.
It's like the torture question. Pro-torture advocates are always using the "what if there was a nuclear bomb that was going to go off in a few hours." But that never happens, yet they continue to support torture.
Afghanistan could never attack us, yet, there we are in Afghanistan rolling around and whining about how bothersome their children are.
Our military is being misused and blind support is not helping matters.
By the way - what we're seeing in this video is quite probably the norm, not the exception.
And yes, My video was glorifying the Marine Corps. The USMC is the greatest military force in existence right now, hands-down. Just because it is engaged in a war that not very many people support doesn't make every Marine a "thug for hire", an asshole, a murderer, rapist or whatever else we get called.
And by the way, please don't make claims that you can back up. This is not the norm. You have zero basis for that statement.

No, the Afghanis never attacked us. However, in case you were on the moon in the fall of 2001, Al-Q did. Al-Q Just happens to be based in Afghanistan. We're not attacking their people. We're not bombing their buildings. Yes, that shit might happen in Iraq, but that's not what this subject is.
We really don't know if Al Qaeda was behind the attacks, but that's for another post. And may I remind you that the Taliban offered to turn Osama bin Laden over to us if we'd provide proof he was behind the attacks. But we all know that the idea of Bush providing proof for anything is a total joke.
It's hard to have any sympathy for "the greatest military force in existence" when they are willingly involved in two illegal occupations, and bitching about how annoying the children are.
What pisses me off about you is that you keep showing these videos that make the military look like the best frat party since Animal House, and that's not what it's about.
And I'm so sorry that my posting one video of the Marine Corps pisses you off. That video didn't show anything but Marines doing what they do. Only you would be pissed off about that.
No one was asking you to have sympathy for anyone. Just to quit hating people that would so readily give their lives for people like you. Whether or not they are fighting any wars that you think protect you is not the issue.
Also, please tell me what's illegal about the occupation of Afghanistan. I would like to have some solid evidence. The last I checked, people were up in arms about Iraq, not Afghanistan.
But you're a war pornographer. You glorify and paint fun onto something that is, at heart, very serious and very deadly.
The wars that the U.S. Marines are fighting is the issue. For some reason, you can't get that through your head. You're always talking about what they would do or wouldn't do - but you don't seem able to see what they are doing.
Our invasion of Afghanistan is illegal according to international law - something the United States is famous for flouting.
What I don't get about you is this: Instead of putting all this hatred toward the military, why don't you focus on the administration that sent them there? It's not like that Army or USMC is just going to say "No thanks."
