Alain Robert a/k/a "Spiderman" freeclimbs NY Times Building
tags:In an effort to increase attention to global warming, Alain Robert scaled the New York Times newspaper's new 52 story office building on 40th street and 8th avenue. I heard a rumor that someone else freeclimbed the same building a few hours apart from Spiderman, but couldn't I confirm it. Robert's been freeclimbing buildings around the world since 1990s. His achievements include the Eiffel Tower, the Sears Tower, the Petronas Twin Towers, and the Sydney Opera House. [Edit]: confirmed: the second climber's name is Raymond Clark. HE wanted to bring awareness to global malaria and poverty.
