I heard from a friend that Revolution Studios slipped in some major (dumbing down) edits to the ending without Julie Taymor's knowledge / consent. Let's hope they didn't bork the whole thing.

Why is it a new beatles movie?? What does this have to do with Beatles besides the Vietnam era? Paul McCartney produced it? Or about 4 British youngsters forming a band?

I've changed the title of the post, but I don't think there's any doubt the movie is inspired by, filled with, and about, Beatles music, stories and characters.

The 7 Beatles songs in the 2.5 minute trailer, and the fact it's named after a Beatles song, might be clues as well.
