89 Yr Old Woman Arrested For Keeping Ball Thrown On Her Lawn

Really, who is she to think that she has a right to keep people off of her property, which she owns, and has every right to keep people off of.

Actually, this was the 5th or 6th time and she was tired of the kids being on her lawn. Cranky? Maybe. Should an 89 year old woman be put in the back of a police car and taken in for it? No. It's ridiculous. Maybe the disrespectful brats should have listened when she asked them to stay off several times. Then again, maybe I grew up in a different world. My parents would have made me go over there and apologize and promise to never do it again, not call the cops on the old woman.

We lost more balls from them being kicked into the haunted house than from the crazy old lady...but we didn't have anyone arrested for it.

Cranky crazy old lady, maybe. Selfish, petty, self-centered 30 something neighbor who has never understood respect enough to teach their children..Definitely! You don't arrest someone that old for something so trivial.

The kids kept going in her yard and throwing their toys in there. Couldn't they just leave the old woman alone? They're probably doing it on purpose now. Wonder how they feel now.. had a good laugh? How sad.

Teach kids some respect. No. Arrest old lady.
Hope the judge does right by this. I remember getting told off as a kid, your parents should help out by going round and talking politely, calling the cops makes this lame.

Utterly ridiculous. She "took" the kids ball from him? Walked right up and pulled it out of his hands? No. Refused to give it back so that they could just throw it in her yard again? Yeah.

Those officers should be ashamed of themselves. They should have gone straight to the person who complained and cited them for wasting their time, then given them a lecture about respecting other people's houses and surrounding property.

This had to go all the way to a prosecutor before someone saw how stupid it was: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jwvuXbVJ0cGWbV0JUeDpCd3DWdfwD93VRRI
