From YouTue: Abridged version of an hour long documentary broadcast on Channel 4 in 2001, it is introduced by James Cameron and features co-writer Arthur C Clarke, visual fx pioneer Douglas Trumbull, and feminist writer/art critic Camille Paglia discussing the ideas behind the spectacle and the unique methodology of its creator, Stanley Kubrick.

Paglia's casting everything in male/female terms is a bit tiring. But it's still good.

2001 is a gr8 film however a masturbatory indulgent documentaries are pointless.

the woman talking should be put down by a vet cut into peaces using a blunt spade and slowly fed to parana.

non the less a good post as i like 2001 and forgot how much i dislike TV shows of this nature.

Are most feminists like that?! She has some great comments that help expand the meaning of the film for those of us who have trouble seeing the deeper messages, I find myself disgusted and put off by her obsession with male testosterone, penis-weapons, and the male emotionless drive to destroy and kill anything one gets near. If it weren't for that obsessiveness, this would have been great!
