Regardless of whether or not she was being sarcastic, she was speaking in the future tense, clearly. She said "God bless us. We deserve..." not we deserved.

...and for the record I don't think there is anything wrong with saying God bless us for being successful.

Obama press conference concerning Rev. Wright (4/29)

Even Obama doesn't agree with what Rev Wright says.

I just don't understand how Obama couldn't have heard these things before from his long time preacher. Obama must not be the Christian he pretends to be if he never goes to church.
