Blacksmiths have been doing this for over a hundred years...it's also not exclusively an American tradition either...although I can see why some Americans keep up with it.
Sweet! I was hopeing you were going to jump in on this...
I was thinking of doing a follow up blog so people who didn't participate could be thinking to themselves "aww man they gots cool shit and I didn't". I'm just leaving it up to the individual to see if they want to trade via mail or the internet...I'm doing a little of both depending if someone wants a physical object or not.
I've only done mail art before. But I like where this mail/internet art is going.

Yeah this is basicly unique way of communicating/sharing...it can be digital but I like to entertain the postal service workers. PM me your snail mail of your intersted in getting a something in the physical realm.

Would that mean paying for postage stamps? I'm so cheap!
I dabble in the doodles, so I'd be interested. We could just, y'know, post it here though, eh?
Neat idea nonetheless.

I want to play, Lann! I'm a doodler, though. I've had pen pals, before. Would this be similar?
If it ups my artistic factor at all, I was expelled from high school for a stick figure. I'm so subversive. XD
