Oh and these Curb clips do suffer from being shown out of context. Watching an entire episode is far more satisfying. Unless it's just Leon who is an amazing character.
>> ^LostTurntable: It was funny at first, and the bit with Jerry's reaction was amazing, but after that it just got old and the part with the doctor was stupid - who the hell would say something like that?
Knowledge of the series would probably give you the answer; Larry David behaves in a way he feels is consistent and reasonable - so if this woman says something that sounds outrageous but makes no big deal of it then he's liable to say "yeah, there's nothing wrong with that".
I did like this clip alot. The show has had it's ups and downs. A friend who is a confirmed Curb fan says it has had some bad series (2 and 3 were very good) and the latest stuff with Michael Richards has been excellent.
Sometimes it seemed a bit too shouty at times for me but like Seinfeld it does have funny or at least interesting situations. When it becomes too contrived it starts to pass back into conventional sitcom land but I would recommend watching an entire season before passing judgement too readily. Just avoid the bad series...
I feel way too old to go see something as vapid as this. I'd just get bored too quickly. And the last film I enjoyed was Letters from Iwo Jima, soooo, I imagine 2012 is slightly different...
The only problem with this clip is that there isn't enough context to see why Sven might immediately take offence. For that reason this clip is not so funny. But I am a Curb fan.
Dunno why this doesn't do much for me, bit of a puff piece really. Still I voted for the dog greeting his owner so I don't know what's wrong with me. Maybe it's news channels engineering these stories.
Good example of needing to sort videos. Throbbin mentioned the magic word PQ and I rush to check it out. Would be so nice to quickly sort by most votes and then I could see what's garnered the most attention.
