plus there's the atheism fad, but it seems to have staying power so not sure if it qualifies
I'd say the fad I remember most htat hasnT been mentioned yet is the "tiny furry baby animal rolling around" fad. I think basic "aww!" vids go in and out of style here. Currently people are kind of sick of them, I think. Gotta be REALLY cute now.
Edit: Oh, and Bill Maher. Not that I'm completely innocent of that one...
The ZPR fad is awesome and will continue.

I've been trying to start an indie/Japanese rock fad, but no success. Music hasn't been getting tons of attention here (I mean seriously, some true classics had to get requeued to make it through).
i feel ya on the indie music. there's a lot of great music that gets discarded.
