ThrowawayyourTV Collective

Ok... So I am finally getting settled.

I admit I was a little nervous getting my own collective while only having a bronze star. But 10 days later and I am only one video away from a Gold Star, and I feel very much settled in here on the sift.

Thanks again to James and Brian for helping me get setup. For those who didn't know I was having technical trouble maintaining TayTV. I am a refugee from an old platform, here to share my videos, discuss ideas and most importantly meet similar people.

Anyway, I just wanted to mention... About the tutorial I created. This is nothing official from videosift, it's just something I whipped up because I have the resources to do so and I wanted to help out the new guys. If it seems lame and un-professional...I apologize. Let's agree that I owe you 7 minutes of your life back. (I am not yet the best screencast actor)

If any sift veterans have done a screencast tutorial I would also like to link to it. The more resources the merrier.

But I hope it helps people who read my blog get settled into the sift, it was part of a larger blog post about the new TayTV collective. (Just a warning before you click that link, the first video in there is again nothing official to videosift...especially the drug and alcohol abuse. (After going a full year of watching annoying youtube videos sometimes you have no choice but to mock them (and turn to drug and alcohol abuse). I've done a couple of these silly videos before resulting in equally sad results (My humblest apologies to all those who watch, I now owe you 9 minutes))).

It's a heavily competitive market of Time Wasters, Television has been the Time waster of choice for the masses as long as I have been alive. Statistics don't lie when they say people are abandoning their TV's for the Internet. That must mean my philosophy is spreading (right?). Videosift is a larger stage then what I had with my old blog. Larger stage more players.

Thanks again for your hearty welcome into your hearty community.

ps/ seriously folks, I am one published video away from that Gold Star, may I draw your attention to Jack Murray: Consumer Advocate.. Murray is a lovable character developed by Canadian Comedian Shaun Majumder... Watch Jack solve consumer complaints, always helping out the little guy. cheers
